Introduction
The “School Curriculum and Instruction” specialization within the Professional Doctoral Degree in Education (Ed.D.) is supported by a high-level, high-quality advisor team. It currently has two full-time faculty members, both of whom are professors.
This discipline is dedicated to researching reforms in subject curriculum and instruction within the field of basic education. This includes fundamental issues such as curriculum theory, teaching paradigms, assessment methods, teacher professional development, and the use and comparison of textbooks. Simultaneously, it focuses on emerging hotspot and challenging issues in basic education reform. By examining historical contexts, engaging in practical exploration, and applying cutting-edge theoretical research to address problems, the program has cultivated a cohort of research-oriented practitioners. It has yielded substantial theoretical outcomes and exerted significant influence on the practical reform of primary and secondary education.
